The Answer Trap
We often get stuck because we're rushing to find the right answer to the wrong question.
"How do I make more money?" might be the wrong question. "What value am I providing that is unique?" might be better.
Using Cards to Pivot
When you're stuck on a problem, draw a card and ask: "How does this image change my question?"
Example:
- Problem: "I need to get more users."
- Card: An image of a campfire / community.
- New Question: "How can I warm the users I already have?"
- Card: An image of a maze.
- New Question: "Is my onboarding process too confusing?"
The card doesn't give the answer. It acts as a lens to shift your perspective.
A well-phrased question is half the solution.
